MIRAGE F1 BY AERGES ENGINEERING SL
Dear DCS users,
We are happy to announce you the development of Mirage F1 by Aerges Engineering SL.
We can imagine your surprise for such news, but you shouldn’t be concerned, we have decided to work on Mirage F1 with Aerges instead of AvioDev for business reasons. Aerges Engineering is formed, mainly, by the same highly experienced Team components that have been developing the advanced version of the C-101. We are, basically, the same people. Some of the members have left and some are new, though they have already been working on C-101 for some time, but we keep the same core, the same or even more experience, know-how, enthusiasm and general technical knowledge. Furthermore, all the Team members are engineers and/or pilots.
All this means that you can expect to get a Mirage F1 module with same or even higher level of precision, quality, attention to detail and professionalism than our previous module, the C-101.
In this preview, we show you some screenshots of the Mirage F1-CE cockpit, with accurate and detailed 3D model and PBR textures, including some external AI models. And, in the coming weeks or months, we will continue presenting you screenshots and/or videos, as well as development news.
We have been working on advanced flight model, engine and main aircraft systems coding for a year and a half. We can say it is, basically, completed, and we now have to work on systems interaction with cockpit, clickable cockpit, and specific aircraft systems.
Our module is absolutely based on real data, that means that what you will get is the most accurate simulation that can be done of the real Mirage F1, with professional quality. What you will see is the real airplane with real data. Obviously, since what we use is real data, any real performance charts, like time to climb, energy-maneuverability, etc. will be fulfilled.
The versions we are working on are all the Spanish Air Force versions, since those are the ones we have real info for, that is, Mirage F1-CE, Mirage F1-EE, Mirage F1-BE and Mirage F1-M, though the latter will take longer to be finished as it includes new avionics, which require a huge amount of additional work. We estimate to have first version, Mirage F1-CE, ready in Early Access in about half a year. We would think about doing other countries versions if we get real data for them, but it’s not part of our main target right now.
For those of you who are not totally familiarized with this aircraft: The Mirage F1-CE is the basic single cockpit version, the Mirage F1-EE is the refuelling (multi-role) version, the Mirage F1-BE is the two seater and the Mirage F1-M is the modernized version with new avionics.
We hope you enjoy the pictures.
Best regards,
The Aerges Team

We present you our first video of the Mirage F1-CE as well as some screenshots. In this video, you can see the most up to date look of the Mirage F1-CE cockpit and external model, a short flight model exhibition and the interaction with some of the cockpit systems.
With this latest PBR textures and many improvements both on textures and on 3D model, we can now consider them ready for the first public display, and therefore, expend some time on specifics, next will be to work on a highly detailed pilot and helmet model.
Regarding flight model, we can say it is now close to its final state. You can see in the video some effects like wing bending due to high G forces. Wing torsion is also implemented; this causes a change in AoA throughout the wingspan, which affects roll moment. Once our experienced F1 test pilot provides us detailed feedback on the FM (still in progress), and we contrast it with our engineering data, we will consider it ready for an early access release.
Cockpit interaction with most of general aircraft systems, like engine, fuel, electrics, hydraulics, stability augmentation and autopilot, is nearly finished and we are working on avionics (navigation and radio equipment, weapons control, radar, displays, etc.).
Just to give you an idea of the deepness of the simulation we have currently a list of more than 80 possible system failures.
In summary, the project is advancing at a good pace, nearing its early access phase, we are happy with the results of our efforts to provide you with the most in-depth simulation of the Mirage F1.

Por si a alguien le interesa este pájaro

estará disponible este 20 de Julio y ya hay manual publicado acerca del mismo:

Por cierto, ¿alguien tiene el manual de vuelo original en pdf y EN español? CE, EE, M????
It’s less than a week now to get your hands on the DCS: Mirage F1!
We want you to be ready for the occasion and master the virtual skies on the 20th, this is why we are happy to share with you the first version of the Flight Manual that we are preparing, and that will get multiple improvements as we add new features and variants.
http://www.alasrojas.com/.../Mirage_F1C ... Manual.pdf
After years of work and dedication, the whole Aerges Engineering Team is happy to announce that our DCS: Mirage F1 module will be released in Early Access on the 20th of this month.
This is our full Development Report:
The Aerges Engineering Team is pleased to introduce the DCS: Mirage F1. The Mirage F1 is a legendary single engine French fighter jet from the Cold War era. It has had an illustrious career serving with the air forces of France, Spain, Greece, Iraq and many other countries and has taken part in multiple conflicts. From its original role as an all-weather interceptor, it has evolved with multiple versions into a capable multirole platform.
The DCS: Mirage F1 will allow virtual pilots to accurately experience the feeling of flying a 1970s third generation aircraft. This is a particularly interesting aircraft, as it is equipped with a more sophisticated flight control system and navigation suite. However, it lacks any screens or computer assistance and has to be flown carefully and with skill.
Early Access features:
In the release into Early Access, the Mirage F1 CE will be available in an almost complete state. As development continues, the other Mirage F1 planned models (EE, BE and M) will be added. Some of the most relevant features available at the release date are:
· Professional Flight Model (PFM) based on performance and engineering data of the real aircraft. Situations of high angle of attack and outside the flight envelope like stalls and spins are also accurately represented.
· Extensive and detailed simulation of all flight systems:
o Flight control system, both in its normal electro-hydraulic mode and in degraded modes.
o SNECMA Atar 9K-50 engine including working envelope, damage, compressor stalls, flameouts and emergency modes.
o Cyrano IV-M radar, a unique Cold War era radar in DCS.
o Electric system.
o Hydraulic system.
o Fuel system.
o Navigation suite: Navigation Indicator (IDN), TACAN, VOR.
o Radios: TRAP 136 and TRAP 137B.
o Electromechanical 1970s era Thomson optical sight (a predecessor of present-day HUDs).
o Integrated ALE-40 countermeasure suite.
o Internal and external lighting.
o Armament system.
o RWR.
· Extremely high-quality 3D model, based on blueprints and laser scanning of a real Mirage F1. Includes animations, lights and a damage model.
· Very accurate 6-DOF (Degrees of Freedom) cockpit with realistic and detailed instruments and controls.
· Variety of air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, some of them not seen before in DCS:
o Short range IR missiles: MATRA R550 Magic I, AIM-9 J, AIM-9 JULI, AIM-9 B.
o Medium range missiles: MATRA R530 IR and EM.
o Rocket launchers: MATRA F1 and F4.
o Antirunway Durandal and cluster Belouga bombs.
o SAMP family of bombs (both free fall and parachute equipped)
o Laser guided GBU-10, GBU-12 and GBU-16.
o Other American and Spanish made bombs.
· Sound modelling based on recordings from the real aircraft.
· Extremely realistic flyable simulation of the Mirage F1 CE, EE, BE and M models. The EE, BE and M will be released after the initial release of the CE.
· AI models for most other variants of the Mirage F1: C, CT, CR, EQ, EDA…
· A vast variety of liveries for the different countries that operated the aircraft.
· Interactive training and practice missions that will help you gain proficiency in the F1.
· PDF user manual that will give you pilot level understanding of all the systems in the aircraft.
Next steps in the development:
The immediate focus of the Team is the completion of the remaining WIP systems in the Mirage F1 CE. In particular; some scan modes of the radar, the radionavigation modes of the autopilot and the implementation of the S530F ‘Supermatra’ missile.
After that, work will continue on the other variants of the aircraft, starting with the Mirage F1 EE. When air-to-air refuelling, the inertial navigation system (INS) and the new RWR are completed, the EE will be ready for release. The rear cockpit and multiplayer interaction of the F1 BE will be the following task. Finally, the new systems (radar, screens, armament, radios) for the F1 M will complete the development of the DCS: Mirage F1 module.
